Spring Marsh Collection

Save the date: The Spring Marsh Collection drops March 23 on my website!

I started prepping panels for this collection back in October. I gave the work time and space to grow slowly like flowers in the spring!

I painted some of the smaller pieces out in the marsh. It’s so calm and quiet there — you can feel God’s presence everywhere. The marsh grass sways softly in the breeze, while the water changes shades as the sun goes down.

Sometimes a little bird would venture near my easel, hopping around to see what I was up to before flying off.

I let any perfectionism and tension melt away and just painted what came naturally. It’s more about capturing a feeling, rather than an exact likeness. And I suppose I’ve been feeling peaches and corals lately — evoking love, kindness and compassion!

I can’t wait to share the entire collection with you on March 23!
