From the Sea to the Marsh

 

A new home is such a fun opportunity for a fresh start! Each room is like a blank canvas just waiting for a bit of color, texture and character.

Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to work with interior designer Kris Riley of Summer Home Designs, LLC to create a couple of paintings for a home on Bald Head Island, NC.

We started off with a 36x60 in. ocean scene for the living area. The deep blues paired with the soft sky, added just the right amount of drama to the space, while still feeling relaxing.

Then these sweet clients decided to add a sunset scene to their foyer, so I created this 48x48 in. marsh inspired by the creek at Bald Head Island!

This painting was extra special because my very first marsh collection was based on the BHI creek, so I loved getting to revisit it!
