Tassels for the Holidays

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot more about my process, my materials and what baby steps I can take to being more sustainable in the studio — which brings me to tassels!

When I’m painting I always have a paint rag close by to wipe my brushes on while I’m working. These rags get covered in a rainbow of colors, telling the behind-the-scenes story of a painting or a collection of paintings.

As I was working on my new collection — Water’s Edge, releasing October 18 with Liza Pruitt — I got in touch with Kat of Pamut Apparel (my favorite sustainable fashion brand!) to purchase some of their fabric scraps to use as paint rags. Then I turned them into tassels for the holidays!

Tassels are fun and beautiful keepsakes from my creative process — plus, they’re perfect for gifting.

I will have eight tassels available in my November Drop, and you choose if you want your tassel as a necklace, keychain or ornament!

Never miss a Drop by joining my email list. It’s the best way to stay in-the-know about all of the art happenings!
